The theme that was chosen for this conference was: P.O.P >> THE POWER OF PROGRESSION<<
Yes as young adults, I think we need to focus more on PROGRESSION!!! Whether this is spiritual , physical or Social. WE just need to keep moving up!!
We had a whole lotta fun it started on Wednesday, October 3rd with a Temple session at the Jordan River Temple and then a movie night at the Kinikini Residence.
I definitely was a happy girl when I saw the amount of YSA's that showed up or reported that they went to the temple. I think one of the best things that we can do to feel the love of our Savior is to go to his House and do His work and gain a greater testimony of the gospel.. It's just AMAZING!!!
Thursday, October 4th we had a Spiritual Hike at Memory Grove. We had a lesson about spiritual progression. Thinking of where we are in our lives and where we want to be, and what we need to do to get there. I was so ETERNALLY grateful for that moment.. I had so much going on, my head was spinning (I'll explain in the next blog). We were instructed to find a place in this peaceful garden/park and just think. I NEEDED THAT MOMENT MORE THAN ANYTHING.
I think everyone needs to take time for themselves to just sit and think. To meditate. To talk to God and ask him "What would thou have me do?"
Of course Friday, October 5th was Semi Annual Conference Dance. Held at the SLCC institute on Redwood Rd. I'll just show you the video of our dance.
I have mixed feelings about the dance. I was definitely frustrated while I was there. Had fun but I'm sure it could have been better. OH well.. Moving right along...
Sunday was a mix and mingle. Sandwiches, chips and water galore!!! I think by the time Sunday hit I was really just ready to go home and sit and think.
All in all. Conference weekend was AMAZING. Amazing cause of the talks that our leaders gave and cause of the inspiration I felt when I listen to them speak. It definitely helped my testimony grow. (I'll be posting pics about conf soon.) The activities just helped with our down time LOL
Keep the faith, He knows your heart and name
