A couple of years ago, I was working in the Young Womens for the Granger 8th Ward. I loved my calling, I loved working with them, planning activities and just listening to them and hanging out. It was fun!!!

One year our stake was going to go on the pioneer trek and as leaders for the youth, we wanted to get them into shape. So we went on various hikes, one such hike was the Living room hike. This trail starts near the Huntsman Cancer Research center at the University of Utah and goes STRAIGHT UP!!!

YES... STRAIGHT UP.. well, atleast that's what I thought and felt. LOL.

Taking the youth up was interesting. Some didn't even want to start. Some basically sprinted to the top. Some started and then mid-way, turned around and went back. Some started, stopped, started again, stopped again.. and took longer than most to get to the top. Some started and got about 3/4ths of the way there looked back, looked hesitant and kept going but also kept looking back.

This is how I would describe my journey to the temple. To get my Endowments. It has a hard road, there were times when I was smooth sailing, times when I was hesitant if this is something I should even be working on. Times I wanted to stop cause it seemed to hard and unreachable.

But with the ASTOUNDING support I received through my friends and family, I kept going, even when I wanted to give up.. I KEPT GOING.

Well.. On April 21, 2012 - I MADE IT TO THE TOP!!! My brother mone, little sister Via and myself, went through the Bountiful, Utah Temple and received our Endowments. The feeling that I felt in there is undescribable, all I know, is that I wanted to feel that again, and again, and again!! I knew for a fact that THE CHURCH IS TRUE!!! I knew that what I was doing was right and I knew that all this hard work was COMPLETELY WORTH IT!!!

I'm so excited to continue to go through the temple and continue to learn and feel of the love that our savior has for each and every single one of his children.

I promise that at first, things might seem intimidating and too hard. But.. THE VIEW FROM THE TOP IS WELL WORTH IT!!!

I love to see the temple.. I went inside one day.. I covenanted with my Father... I PROMISE I'LL OBEY!!!
