So I'm finally going to blog about conf. and boy was it FUN!!! Our theme was anxioulsy engaged, and we split it up to: Anxiously engaged in:Service, Anxiously engaged in: The Spirit, Anxioulsy Engaged in: Fun and Anxiously engaged in: Testimonies. We used this to help build our youths testimonies and unity. We started with a game called "Gotcha" and it's kind of like mafia wars, we split everyone up into three teams, Team Ammon, Team Moroni and TeamNephi. The point of the game was to go out and build a bigger team by getting other people out of the other teams, and you do that by getting them wet. No waterguns, water balloons or hoses were allowed. Our youth got really creative by using coolers, buckets, bowls etc. They also go really into as I was getting blocked calls saying that they were out to get me and that I needed to watch my back. I left work early cause my brother said that Team Moroni was going to come to my house at 5AM to get me out. Talk about dertemined. I totally thought that they wouldn't be there at 5AM but right on the dot they were down the street, dressed in black. That had to have been the best wake up call ever. LOL. After gallons and gallons of water was thrown .. I was still safe, but that only made them even more determined to get me later. Long story short... They got me out at Lagoon. Other highlights were: Lotu Tunineau making a homerun during our softball game, the YM making up songs in our song trivia, Bishop Halaufia dressed in black at my house with buckets and buckets of water to get the youth out, and Sione Taukiuvea chasing the boys out of the van with a branch. And the scavenger hunt at Lagoon. A proud moment was during our testimony meeting when one of our "not so active" YM was the first to get up and bear his testimony of the gospel and it's truthfulnes. All in all HILLARIOUS. I honsetly think that our youth is much stronger and more united!! Thank you to Morena for coming through. You know you have a REAL friend when you get her to leave work to help me out at Lagoon. I hope you had fun and thank you thank you thank you!! Ciao for now Les
